RDStealer, a custom malware, has been discovered by security researchers to have infiltrated IT firms for at least one year.

The attack is suspected to be carried out by a skilled cybercriminal group and has the potential to expose sensitive information belonging to the company's clients and staff.

The malware has the capability to gain access to sensitive information, execute harmful code, and download supplementary tools once it infiltrates the network.

RDStealer was created to target vulnerabilities in Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) servers, enabling unauthorized access to a business's networks.
