Job description

We seek a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst with 3-4 years of experience to join our dynamic IT service-based company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring the successful delivery of projects by effectively communicating requirements and collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering & Analysis:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical and functional requirements.
  • Process Mapping & Improvement:

  • Map and analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop process flow diagrams and documentation to support project objectives.
  • Uphold knowledge management practices to facilitate knowledge capture and sharing.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between business teams, technical teams, and project managers.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with stakeholders to align project goals.
  • Uphold knowledge management practices to facilitate knowledge capture and sharing.
  • Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and use cases.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to monitor project performance and business outcomes.
  • Project Support:

  • Work closely with development teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), identify gaps, and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between business teams, technical teams, and project managers.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with stakeholders to align project goals.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and customer needs.
  • Provide insights to help shape strategic business decisions.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the financial markets, related data and applications, providing a contextual understanding of the industry.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with project management and documentation tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello).
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for data querying and analysis is a plus.
  • Experience in creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools like Balsamiq, Axure, or Figma.

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
  • Experience in IT service-based projects or client-facing roles is highly desirable.
